mothers day

i have been reading a number of really nice mothers day blog posts ... but feel rather uninspired to write one of my own ...

in all truth it's been a rather lousy week, starting out with unwell kids and feeling a bit under-the-weather myself ... and our ride has been rather uncomfortable as we've encountered lots of 3 year old speed humps, a number of 20 month old red lights and our 4 year old sound track has been rather unpleasant ...

then sunday ... i am woken by my favourite little faces, three little people after just one thing - me ... "happy mothers day" ... i love them ... more than i could have ever imagined ...

the gift of motherhood is not without its challenges and bumpy rides ... but i am so thankful for the journey ... for the three little gifts God has entrusted to me ... and for the strength that He gives me each day to give it my best shot ...

and i must say thankyou ... i was rather spoilt ... my first little 'surprise' gift made at school, some handmade goodies from my mother-in-law, some treats from my secret sister and some pandora beads from my bears ... and my favourite gifts = time together, family over for dinner and watching hubby trying his best to keep me 'out-of-action' for the day (a special thankyou to 20 month old bear for dishing out an extra helping of the smelly ones, just to put a smile on mums face) ...
