dear bron ...

hey sis ... must tell you about what we got up to today ...

this morning the oldest two bears and i picked up aunty hayley and headed to the souther river markets ... you would have loved it ... if only i had known they were making waffles and bacon and eggs, i would have taken hubby for breakfast ... there were croquettes, olliebollen (that is sooo not spelt right, but not sure spell checker could help me with that one) ... a sausage sizzle, freshly brewed coffees, slushies, freshly squeezed lemonade, fairy floss (operated by none other than krindy) ... there was wine, cookies in a jar, dukkah  ... among other treats, i couldn't resist these ...

claire t and lisa g were sitting behind a table filled with the most irresistable treats ... and i am a sucker for a cupcake, and they were in cute little gift boxes and all ... they tasted delic ...

there was a live performance by the steenhof bros ... and, although the bears were terrified of him, lester d did a fantastic job as a clown handing out balloons and lollypops ... there was a bouncy castle, face painting and uncle russ was doing story telling ...

and craft ... my friend katie k was there with her papercraft friends and family with an array of gifts and cards ... there were candles and stuffed animals ... and i had been looking forward to visiting sewing belle ... here are the bears modelling their new shirts and baby bear with our 'i spy' bag ...

... a brooch and a magnet from pip - must mention the adorable collection of stuffies pip and mrs o had for sale - if only i had a girl :) ... loved aimee claires prints ... i am me was there too ... and amos cards ... and there was even an opportunity to get a massage or a nail buff and polish ...

i'm sure i've left things out, but you get the picture, it was really well organised and a great event ... had been looking forward to it, and was not disappointed ... you would've been proud of your friends back here, they did a fantastic job :) ...

after the markets it was back home for sleeps than off to hubbys first soccer game for the year ... although i spent more time keeping an eye on these three ;) ...

and baby bear would rather watch his brothers kick the ball around than his daddy (playing in the background) ...

and then back at home, we sat the bears at the table with some activities while we sorted dinner ... baby bear decides that he can do his peg puzzle all by himself ... this is somewhat out of nowhere, given that a week ago he wasn't even interested in the puzzle when hubby or i tried to help him with it ...

well little sis, that brings me to the end of a busy day and a long post ... we had a wonderful day and are thankful for the time we could spend together ... miss you lots ... love your big sis *mwah*

  2. The pic of your boys in their t-shirts is adorable! Glad they like them :-) And your baby bear proves you can never be too young for I Spy!
