this morning we embark on an car trip that we have not been looking forward to ... we are going to the airport to say goodbye to uncle owen, aunty bron, ella and sami ...
it's definately not going to be easy ... these four people are a very special part of our lives and we know we are going to miss them lots and lots and lots and lots and lots (in the words of three year old bear) ... we have been apart before, when my parents moved over with my sisters to new zealand for a couple of years, but for some reason this feels so much different ...
the biggest thing i am going to miss is this ...
although not much good at group photos ... these five monkeys adore eachother ...
even though we wont be able to 'pop in' anymore ... you will never be far away, always in our hearts and prayers ...
and of course i will miss my sister ... God has blessed me with two wonderful sisters that i love to bits ... yes, we have our moments ... but the bond we have been blessed with keeps us together ... and life is never going to be the same when one of us is 'missing' ...
after many failed attempts at writing one myself, i found this poem by Francis I. Gillespie:
We are three sisters
three sisters are we
I love each of you,
and I know you love me
we’re not always together,
life sometimes keeps us apart.
but we're never separated
we’re in each other's heart.
now I know we've had our troubles,
but we always get thru.
the real message is you love me,
and I also love you.
we have had lots of good times
that we'll never forget
sometimes we worry
and sometimes we fret
but if God ever gave me
something special you see,
it might have been the blessing of,
three sisters are we.
the Lord above has given me lots
of happiness and glee
but the most special thing He did was
make us sisters, all three.
