magic mondays

it used to be the most horrible day of the week ... monday ... but now it's one of my favourites ... see every monday my house magically transforms ... unfortunately theres no fairy to wave a magic wand, it's just my weekly cleaning day ... obviously it's not the only day i clean during the week, but it is the day i get my weekly chores like the moping done ... the boys love helping out, which most of the time equates to getting in the way, but i figure teaching them participation has to pay off in the long run right ... i know it will all be back to how it was, probably even before the boys go to bed this evening, but it has been done, and now i don't have to worry about those those chores for another week ... in all honesty i wish that i had the time to be able to get it all done everyday ... but, as my sister says, "there is a season for everything", and for the moment that is to make the most of my time a home with my three bears, not to stress about the housework!

on a slightly different note ...

todays dilemma occured at precisely 11am when i remembered that i had no bread for lunch ... lack of motivation to haul the bears out on a shopping expedition, i remembered a post my sister bronya made on her blog about muffin tin tuesday ... although i didn't have a muffin tin, i used the concept and came up with this ...

needless to say, the boys loved their lunch and ate every last bite, am considering making it a regular ... thanks bron ... ps in case you're wondering what's on the menu, it was shaved ham, crackers (2 types), cheese, sultanas and apple & strawberry puree
