meet my new little nephew ...

cohen lucas bosveld ... a precious little miracle ... a blessing in a bundle ... isn't he just adorable ... stay tuned to a little piece of green for all the extra details and updates :) ...

as the bears are getting older the arrival of a newborn cousin brings a myriad of you-make-me-smile comments and lots of curious questions ...

see according to 4 year old bear only 2 weeks ago - "i think aunty hayleys tummy is actually bigger than yours now mum" (and no, i do not have a little blessing in the oven, just a bit of leftovers from when the bears were hibernating in there) ... 

"why is aunty hayley in the hospital?" ... mums answer: because she has had a baby and is very tired ... which prompts the question "mummy, why is it hard work to get a baby done?" ...

"mum, did the doctor take the baby out of aunty hayleys tummy?" ... circumstances made this answer an easy one for me: actually yes ...

and 5 year old bear recalls: "i remember when i was in your tummy mum" ... really, what do you remember ... "it was really dark, and when i came out it was really light and hard to see" ...

and then random things like "mum, but babies can't blow out candles" ... and "maybe we should get another baby for us mum" ... 

it will take a bit of getting used to for the bears ... but we have been talking through things and they are pretty excited about the prospect of teaching their new little cousin how to play cricket and soccer and footy one day :) ... 

and here's a bit of meaningless 'trivia' ... all three of us (me and both my sisters) were blessed with our first child when we were 24 years old ;) ...
