was a wonderful day out ... we watched sea lions and dolphins perform ... checked out the polar bears, stingrays, penguins and sharks ... and spent some time on sesame street beach ... the boys loved the stage show and the rides ... it was overcast and we had some rain ... this and the fact that it wasn't school holidays meant that it wasn't really busy and we didn't have to wait in long lines to do things like this ...

on a slightly less great note ... having taken our seats for the first show ... hubby pulled out our digital slr and ... flat batteries ... i have to admit i was a bit upset with myself ... but thankfully we did have our point-and-shoot so we did get a couple of photos during the day ... and it was good to be reminded that photos aren't everything ... and as much as i love them they are just pictures to help retell the memories we have of time we have been blessed to spend together as family ...
