this little machine has been enjoying the view from my craft desk for the past couple of weeks - although i do recall only asking to borrow it for a week ;) ...
i am not a sewer, actually surprised myself that i still remembered how to use the machine ... but, i couldn't resist after reading about these ... to make a couple of my own for the bears - from some old jeans and ikea fabric
which i found very useful as they perfectly accomodate these books ...
perfect for church tommorrow ...
mum, i'm nearly finished with your machine .. i just need to finish up another project that just sort of happened while the machine was here ... it was totally her idea ...
i purchased one of these gems at the souther river markets earlier this year ... but, with three bears one 'i spy bag' just doesn't seem to be enough ... my sister did an awesome job making one for her princess ... and with a little family camping adventure lined up in a few months ... i decided it might just be worth a try myself ...
they're not fancy ... plain and simple - just like their sewer ... hubby (after close inspection) was quite impressed, so i figure i could be pretty happy with my first attempt ... i just need to do a few finishing touches and maybe i will post a picture once they're all done ...
i am looking forward to finishing up this little project ... then mum and her machine can get re-acquainted and i can have my craft desk cleared up for some more scrapbooking :)
nice job lyss ... they all look awesome ... i love the sunday bag idea ...
ReplyDeleteGood job lyss. Would love to be able to sew but it seems that everytime i touched a machine it would break.
