the afl pre-season competition kicked off last friday night between the west coast eagles and essendon bombers ... this is our family derby as hubby is a bombers supporter and i am an eagles supporter ... we thought it would be a good opportunity to take the oldest two bears to their first game, especially given that the quarters are shorter than a season game ... a gigantic thank you to granddad for getting hold of some tickets for us ... it was a really nice night out ... topped off by the fact that my team won :P ... and i will not be accepting any 'oh, its just the preseason' excuses
