it has become apparent that i am not a big fan of flying ... in an airplane obviously, as no, i have not recently grown wings of my own ... apart from the inability to get comfortable, let alone fall asleep, my horrible trip over to singapore probably was more due to the two year old boy who kicked the back of my seat for the first two and a half hours and then threw up four hours into the flight (and there were no sick bags so it went all over the seat and his mum) ... my lifesaver for both the trip there and back were the noise cancellation headphones my jet-setting brother-in-law kindly lent to me (thanks o-man)
* parenting lesson # 643: do not let your 2 year old on kick anything other than a ball which is designed for this exact purpose
* parenting lesson # 644: if you feed your 2 year old coke and chips and then let him jump up and down lots, he may just throw up all over you and everything else in the vicinity
